I am a local artist in Victoria, BC who started working in oil, tried watercolours briefly, and found a happy place working with acrylics on canvas in recent years. I work on my pieces primarily amongst the many talented artists at the Cedar Hill Rec Centre - Art Open Studio.

What began as a therapeutic escape from a busy work life has transformed into a hobby I am extremely passionate about and enjoy continually learning and growing. Much of my work is inspired by the beautiful scenery in and around Victoria, my home over the last 25 years. I enjoy the challenge of depicting 'light' on canvas. Whether from sunsets, sunrises, shadow, or moonlight, capturing 'light' is one of my favourite pursuits. And being from Northern Ireland originally, capturing the 'sea' on canvas is also close to my heart.

I produce some original works but mostly enjoy when a family member or friend gives me a picture or photo that has special meaning to them and asks me to reproduce it on canvas, Many of the pieces featured on my site have been gifted to family members, or commissioned by friends, for display in their own homes which is a source of great pride.

I am an annual participant in the SPAC Spring Show in Sidney, BC and have also participated in the Cedar Hill Holiday Shows.
